Living in Australia

So you've either decided on life in "the lucky country" or you're making initial inquiries. If you're simply thinking about it please bear the following in mind.

The Australian standard and quality of living is one of the highest in the world, that combined with the sunny outdoors lifestyle and great job opportunities makes it one of the world's most popular destinations for those seeking a new life for themselves and their families abroad. The government of Australia welcomes and encourages new skilled and family migrants but places are limited to around 115,000 worldwide. So our advice is simple - if you qualify don't wait too long before starting your application.

It has never been more complex or expensive in terms of gaining residency to Oz and the government is constantly "tightening" the process so qualifying one day is no guarantee of qualifying the next!

If like us however you have long since gone past the "do we or don't we" thought process and want to make the most of your life and that of your children down under then we have compiled a collection of encouraging information and statistics for you

Life in Britain and to a lesser extent Ireland especially the cities can sometimes be hectic, noisy, polluted, unfriendly, and overcrowded - Australia's entire population is not much greater than that of South East England!

The entire population of Australia is at 21 million and it's as big as the USA! Over 70% of the population live within 10 miles of the coast and within easy reach of the Pacific or Indian Oceans! The country is vibrant and young and as the saying goes "if you can't do it in Oz...you can't do it at all" The cosmopolitan, clean, uncrowded and modern cities offer a lifestyle which is the envy of the western world.

The Australian Tourist board once ran a series of posters with the banner headline slogan "What are you waiting for?" and it is no accident that the continent still remains the number 1 destination for British and Irish migrants. They have 5 cities listed in the world's top ten (Britain has none) and with an amazing climate, a strong and growing economy and a quality of life second to none there has never been a better time to take the step. Don't be a maybe, pack your cozzie and take a Captain Cook at the real deal…..Good on ya mate!
